Spotlight on Bling Bling Poochies

Who said that humans should have a corner on the couture clothing and accessories market?  That's just the question that Sherry and her business partner asked themselves four years ago.  They both loved dogs and they were both very discerning shoppers, so they decided to go into the doggy couture business, and Bling Bling Poochies was born.

When it comes to chic and trendy styles for dogs, Bling Bling Poochies is by far the best place to shop online for designer-inspired clothing for your four-legged friend.  For anyone lucky enough to own a fashion-conscious poochie, the world of designer dog clothes and accessories offered is a portal to a pet fashion wonderland.  With Bling Bling Poochies, your dog will never want to go naked again.

It's easy to get lost for hours while browsing the selection of canine couture.  From Lillie Vanillie (LV) and Chanilly to Ed Hardly and Goochie, Bling Bling Poochies has your dog covered.  The all-inclusive online store has apparel, collars, carriers and accessories for any dog, large or small.  The handy size chart will help ensure the perfect fit, and don't forget to take a peek at the scrapbook of customer-submitted photos.

And speaking of customer-submitted photos, Bling Bling Poochies hosts a monthly "Poochie Idol" Contest.  Using their email newsletter to promote the contest to over 7500 of its loyal customers, Bling Bling Poochies has seen a remarkable increase in their newsletter open rate.

"We have had tremendous response and gained tons of new customers because they pass our newsletter on to friends and family to vote", says owner Sherry.  What a fantastic example of interest-driven marketing!  Way to go, Bling Bling Poochies!

Spotlight on lilys attic

Author Marion C. Garretty once said, "A sister is a little bit of childhood that can never be lost."  When sisters Helen and Dianne opened lilys attic a little over three years ago, they aimed to pass this sentiment on to each and every one of their customers.  From christening and communion clothing and keepsakes to wedding invitations and stationery, lilys attic is proud to play a role in each of their customers' life stories.

From their "Our Story" page:

We all remember walking into a candy store as a child and simply standing still...taking it all in...Well, at lilys attic, we aim to offer you that same wonderful experience.

What began as a simple idea to offer something different has bloomed into a unique and charming store where you can walk in and personalize the next chapter of your life.  With years of experience between us, our attention to detail and a passion for all things beautiful, we'd love nothing more than to help you begin your story with us...

lilys attic is located in North Parramatta, a suburb of Sydney Australia.  Although the store has fixed business hours, Helen and Dianne will gladly stay open after hours for those who wish to schedule an appointment.  For a fun and relaxing evening, the sisters will also come to your home or office for a jewelry party.

lilys attic uses Email Contact to send period newsletter to announce new inventory, sales and events, and also around the holidays.  Dianne says that since everyone has access to email, it just makes sense to contact them that way.  We're excited to have Dianne and Helen as fabulous Email Contact customers.

Why Email Marketing? It's As Easy As ABC!

It's that time of year again.  The beach towels and sunglasses are being replaced by backpacks and textbooks.  The empty school hallways will soon be bustling with activity, and those bright yellow school buses will wake from their summer of hibernation.

If your house is anything like mine, the kids are both anxious and excited - full of anticipation of meeting new friends and teachers, while at the same time feeling the trepidation that comes with more difficult classes and all that homework.  My girls keep trying and re-trying on outfit after new outfit, until finally, the night before the first day of school, they will pick a winner.

Marketing is not unlike those days of preparation for the first day of school.  When a business has a campaign idea, it might take a few dress rehearsals before just the right fit is found.  What type of marketing best reflects the image you want for your company?  There are so many ad mediums to choose from - radio, magazine, newspaper, television, and the list goes on - that just that part of the marketing decision can be exceedingly overwhelming.  And the actual campaign design hasn't even been completed yet.  Whatever choice is ultimately made, we can go back to the basics - the ABCs - to see why email marketing is perhaps the most efficient of all marketing tools, whether it is combined with one or more of the traditional methods or stands alone.

A is for Accessibility
Smart phones and tablets have changed the way people access their email accounts.  Long gone are the days when we checked the inbox after work or in our spare time.  Now, we check our email at red lights and in the drive-thru lane.  We update our social network statuses in the waiting room at the doctor's office.  This is just one reason that email marketing has soared from relatively unknown and unused to the single most effective and efficient marketing tool available in less than a decade.  That means that your company is literally in the consumer's pocket twenty-four hours a day.

B is for Bargain

With the abundance of low-priced (or even free) email marketing packages, it's no surprise that the ROI on this advertising method is much, much higher than that of other, more traditional, methods.  In fact, recent research has shown that direct mail ad campaigns can cost as much as 100 times more than email marketing campaigns.  That's a staggering amount of money that could be better utilized in growing a business.

C is for Convenience
It used to be that when I had an advertising idea pop into my head (usually in completely random places like my shower and during the wee hours of the morning), I would have to jot it down on a piece of paper and hope that the genius didn't escape me before I could contact the marketing company.  Even then, I would have to depend on someone else to put my thoughts into action and design a print ad that matched my personality.  That all disappeared with email marketing.  With beautifully designed templates - different ones available for my every mood swing - my random shower thoughts become amazing email postcards or newsletters within minutes.  And it doesn't matter whether that thought came at three in the afternoon or three in the morning.  With email marketing, I'm in control of when my ads are delivered, not the post office or the marketing company.

How has email marketing changed the way that you build your ad campaigns?  Post your story on our Facebook Wall, and you could win three free months of Email Contact's incredible service.  It's just that simple!

Spotlight on The Handprint Lady

"So much of me is made of what I learned from you.  You'll be with me like a handprint on my heart."
~Wicked

Monica Lasich was the busy owner of a paint-your-own ceramics store and the happy mother of six children.  As the kids grew and needed Monica more at home, she began taking her work home with her, creating beautiful clay handprint plaques at the request of some of her customers.  Within a short time, after seeing the benefits of working from home, Monica shut down her store front and dove into the clay print business with both feet.  She spent her days perfecting her technique, testing new clay and glazes, and opened her first online store.

Although Monica is based in Irvine, California, orders soon started to come in from all over the United States.  Mothers, Grandmothers, Sisters and even Husbands loved the idea of giving a gift that would forever bring cherished memories to their loved ones.  In order to help these customers, Monica invented a technique that would allow the hand and footprints to be mail-ordered - her mess free and goof proof Prints by Mail.

Monica says, "I was really on the fence about email marketing, but after trying Email Contact (along with many others), I settled on Email Contact for their ease of use.  I have always gotten sales after each of my email campaigns, making it well worth the cost and effort."
