Spotlight: Tumblebear Connection

We love hearing about our customers’ successes with email marketing. The folks at Tumblebear Connection recently shared the great success they’re having with their best email marketing tips. Q: Tell us a bit about your organization.

Founded in 1986 by one of the leaders of gymnastics training, Patti Komara, Tumblebear Connection has produced more than 80 instructional DVDs on gymnastics training, plus Patti’s books on yearly lesson plans for the internationally known Tumblebear Gym Program, School-age Gymnastics, Dancing GymBears, YogaBears, CheerBears, Gym-N-Learn, and her very successful Swim Program. Her programs are sold across the USA as well as in more than 40 countries such as France, Saudi Arabia, England, China, Australia, Canada, and Ireland.

Q: What is your best email marketing tip or strategy? 

There are three things we’ve found that really work for us. First, we really like utilizing a strong headline. A strong headline can be more important than the content, because it's what makes the reader want to open the e-blast in the first place. Second, we encourage our subscribers to forward our emails to their friends and peers. And third, we keep track of what prompted our customers to purchase from us. Our e-blast campaigns have been very successful in retaining old customers as well as gaining new ones thanks to these three strategies. According to our research, our e-newsletter is the second most popular reason for purchasing, right behind "previous customer."

Q: How has Email Contact helped you with your business?

Email Contact makes it really easy to use. We can login to our account, create an email, and quickly send it out to all our email subscribers.  Frequently staying in touch with our customers by using Email Contact has been a very important tool for our business.
